Information Session on College Loans
WEXFORD CREDIT UNION INFORMATION SESSION ON COLLEGE LOANS
WHEN & WHERE? Wexford Town Library on the 17th of August at 7pm. This is a free event and booking is recommended.
Wexford Credit Union would like to invite you to an information evening regarding the Student Loan Program for 3rd Level Education. Once the leaving cert results come out and the student receives their letter of acceptance from their college choice, parents often find themselves asking:
- How much will I need to borrow?
- When should I apply?
- What do I need to provide?
- What does being a guarantor mean?
- How quickly is the loan granted once applied for?
- How does the loan repayment work?
Our experienced Loans Manager David Maguire will be there on the evening to provide excellent advice. Last year alone Wexford Credit Union provided assistance to almost 1000 students.
Also included on the night will be a talk on mental health by mental health professional Niall O’Muiri of Wexford Mental Health Association. Niall is a retired mental health nurse who has put three of his own daughters through college. He has visited schools in County Wexford giving workshops on mental health following a live production of a play he wrote called “A face in the crowd”
