Direct Debit Facility

Members can now give their credit union details to pay insurance, utility bills, gym membership, or any other bills or expenses by Direct Debit. Necessary: contact the Credit Union BEFORE you set up your first Direct Debit.

Electronic Transfers

Members can transfer money directly to their bank account or another payee’s bank account. Members can also transfer money from their bank account directly into their credit union account in the euro currency. NB: Wexford CU is unable to accept SWIFT payments.

Credit Transfers

Members can have money paid directly to their Credit Union account - wages, child benefits, pension payments, and social welfare payments can all be paid into the Credit Union.

Payroll Deduction

If your employer offers this service with Wexford Credit Union you can save or arrange to pay back your loan through a wage deduction.

Card Payment

You can call us and pay your account over the phone using your debit card. We are open six days a week until 5:00pm.

Standing Order

Members can arrange a recurring payment from their bank to their credit union account by standing order. This facility allows regular payments to loans or savings.

Wexford Credit Union is registered for SEPA payments only.

If, as a member, you wish to transfer funds into your account, then the payment should be made as a SEPA payment only. If you know that a third party is making a payment to your account, they should tell their financial institution that the payment should be made via SEPA. If an amount is sent in any other way, for example, by SWIFT, the payment will be rejected by our processing Bank and the Payer may incur a rejection charge for which they may be liable.

Please note: Wexford Credit Union is unable to accept SWIFT payments. You may incur charges if you attempt to send money to your account in Wexford Credit Union via SWIFT.

SEPA stands for Single Euro Payments Area. A SEPA payment is sent through the SEPA Scheme. The SEPA payment scheme was created to simplify euro transfers between EU member states.

The SEPA scheme consists of the 27 EU Member States plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco, the United Kingdom, and San Marino.

To make a SEPA Payment you need:
1. The IBAN of the person you want to pay.
2. The bank to which you are sending the payment to be a member of the SEPA scheme.
3. The payment is to be in Euro.

If you would like more information on our payment options, we have a dedicated payments team that will be happy to help you.
