The Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) came into force on 14th September 2019.

This regulation affects the whole banking industry and changes how you operate banking facilities, including CUOnline+.

PSD2 is designed to protect you further when banking online. Increased security measures (known as Strong Customer Authentication) are placed on several online account activities, such as setting up new payees, certain payments, etc. You may be familiar with this from other sites, as it will be similar to “Two Factor Authentication,” where a One Time Passcode (OTP) is sent to your mobile device to complete an action.

To ensure you receive these OTPs, check that your mobile number on file is up to date. You can do this in the “Personal Details” section of your CUOnline+ account.

Protection of your personal data using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption- An industry-wide strong level of encryption.

Secure sign-in – Three-tiered login – for additional levels of access and security.

OTP (One Time Passcode) and Password – per industry best practice guidelines (upgrade from 8-digit PIN).

Firewall protection – to stop unauthorised access and protect the information on your systems.

Time-out facility – which automatically signs you out after a period of inactivity (to continue banking online, simply sign in again).

Secure Messaging – all account-specific member communication is sent through a secure channel in cuOnline+.

How to register

Sign up to CU Online+

Register for CU Online+ through the online portal below. You will need your WCU account number, personal email address, date of birth & mobile phone number to register. Or you can download the Wexford Credit Union App today and register there.
